Foxborough Regional Charter School proudly announces Akilan Dayasankar as Valedictorian and Maria Mourad as Salutatorian of the Class of 2025. Both students have attended FRCS since Kindergarten and have consistently demonstrated academic excellence, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to service.
Throughout their educational journeys, Akilan and Maria have embodied the FRCS motto: “Enter to Learn, Exit to Lead.” Their accomplishments reflect not only a mastery of academics, but also the values of integrity, curiosity, and community engagement that FRCS strives to instill in every student.

Foxborough resident Akilan Dayasankar has been named Valedictorian of the Foxborough Regional Charter School Class of 2025. Driven by a deep love of learning and inspired by the educational values instilled by his parents, Akilan has remained consistently motivated throughout his time at FRCS. He has been an active member of the school community, participating in Robotics, Orchestra (as a violinist), Baseball, and Shishu Bharati, an Indian cultural organization that has further enriched his educational experience.
This fall, Akilan will attend Purdue University to pursue a degree in Computer Science. He is excited to explore the many opportunities within the field, with interests in both computer science and computer engineering, and is considering earning a master’s degree before entering the workforce.
Akilan credits the supportive FRCS community with playing a key role in his success. As he looks ahead to the future, he does so with gratitude for the people and experiences that have shaped his journey.
Maria Mourad of Attleboro has been named Salutatorian of the Foxborough Regional Charter School Class of 2025. Driven by a desire to grow as an insightful and principled individual, Maria has consistently demonstrated a deep dedication to her education and a passion for making a positive impact on the world around her. At FRCS, she has taken on several leadership roles, including serving as President of Students in Medicine and Secretary of the Spanish National Honor Society. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, a former volleyball team member, and an active volunteer at her church and as a camp counselor.
This fall, Maria will attend Providence College as part of the Honors Program, where she plans to major in Biology and minor in Political Science. She aspires to pursue a career in medicine or health policy, combining her love of science with a commitment to public service.
Maria is especially grateful for the opportunities FRCS has provided to learn from diverse perspectives while exploring her own passions. She leaves the school with a strong sense of purpose and a drive to help others through her future work.
