Each week, we recognize our student athletes who are excelling on and off the field or court. We're pleased to announce that Rachel Canuel is the Foxborough Regional Charter School athlete of the week
Rachel is a Sophomore at FRCS, and a member of the Softball team. She also plays Club Softball for the Diamonds. Rachel's favorite class is Math because of her teacher, Ms. Pereira - who she says makes learning fun and easy. She says Ms. Pereira is also her favorite teacher here at FRCS. Rachel says "Ms. P is very funny! We talk sports together!" Her favorite athlete is Jayda Coleman, a college softball player and pitcher for the Oklahoma Sooners. Rachel's hobbies include playing Fortnite, hanging out with friends and going shopping. Rachel says her favorite food is pasta - it's a great meal before or after a softball game!
From her coaches: "Rachel has not only been the team MVP but is in contention for league MVP. Rachel's stat line thus far is 11 for 13. 3 doubles, 2 triples and has scored a bunch of runs. On the pitching mound she has a 4-0 record and has thrown a no hitter. No doubt Rachel has had a huge impact on our undefeated season so far!"
