Dear FRCS Families,

My name is Toby N. Romer, and it is with immense enthusiasm and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Foxborough Regional Charter School. I know you are about to celebrate the end of the current school year, and all the learning and accomplishment of your children over the course of the year, but I hope you’ll also allow me to take this moment to turn the page towards our next chapter as a district.

As I step into this role, I am filled with excitement and a sense of responsibility to serve our vibrant and diverse school community. This is a very challenging time for young people overall, and I am committed to bringing stability to FRCS so that we can focus all of our efforts on the growth and development of our students, ensuring every child thrives. I look forward to working with you to ensure that we are consistently bringing out the best, academically, socially, and emotionally, in each of our students.

A bit about myself – my career in education has been dedicated to ensuring all students have access to a high quality education regardless of their background, where they live, and where they enroll in school. I have served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and director of professional development in the Boston Public Schools for 19 years, before becoming an assistant superintendent in the Newton Public Schools since 2015. I can think of no better place to continue my career than here at FRCS, a district that is also dedicated to ensuring that all our students have access to amazing educational opportunities and a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Our district’s commitment to creating a welcoming community for all our families is something that deeply resonates with me. I am excited to build on this foundation and work collaboratively with you, our families, as well as our dedicated staff and our talented students, to ensure that FRCS continues to be a place where every family feels welcome and respected and each child feels seen and valued.  As I start my work here, I believe the most important task I have is to listen and learn from members of our community, including our students and their families.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email in July once I officially start in my new role here, and later in the summer, I will be back in touch with information on meet-and-greet events where I can connect with you personally. Please keep an eye on your email this summer for additional information and opportunities to meet.

Thank you for welcoming me into this incredible community.  As I look forward to a year filled with growth, achievement, and building meaningful connections, I am excited about the journey ahead and can't wait to see all that we will accomplish together.

Warm regards,

Toby N. Romer
