Key Dates
The first day of school for students will be as follows:
- Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 5, & Grade 9: Tuesday, September 6th
- All Grades (K-12) Report to School on Wednesday, September 7th
Drop Off/Pick Up
To help ease traffic during morning drop-off, we have staggered arrival times.
Morning Drop-off Reminders – Doors open at 7:15 a.m.
- Lanes 2 and 3 are Drop and Drive ONLY. Please do NOT park in these middle lanes.
- Roughly 10 cars will pull up close to the curb, all cars along the curb will unload at once and then all cars will pull forward.

- As soon as the line pulls forward, please pull ahead as far as you can before stopping to unload.
- Always stay in the line. Do not turn around or attempt to pass a car in the drop off line. Thank you for your patience.
- Should you need to park, please do so in lanes 1 or 4. Please walk on divider islands and cross at marked crosswalks.
- Thank you for encouraging independence in your child.

Elementary School/Pick-Up Reminders
- Staggered dismissal begins with buses at 2:35 p.m., followed by carpools at 2:45pm. Individuals in grades K-1 are dismissed for pickup at 2:50 p.m. and grades 3 and 4 at 2:53 pm. All students MUST be picked up by 3:00 p.m. unless they are enrolled in the Hockomock YMCA Aftercare program.
- Parents may park in lanes 2 and 3 to pick up their child outside door E1.
- In the afternoon, each lane is blocked off near the building for safety, so please exit the lane the way you entered.

- All drop off is behind the High School Building in the drop off/ bus lanes.
- There is no drop off at door I. Please continue around the building to the drop off lanes.
- The drop off lanes are Drop and Drive. Students should be ready to exit the vehicle.

- Students eating breakfast enter through Door G for breakfast.
- Students not eating breakfast will enter through Door E
- Only after 7:30 a.m. will students be allowed to enter the respective middle (Door I) or high school (Door A) main entrances.

- All Students MUST be picked up by 3:00 p.m. unless they are enrolled in the Hockomock YMCA Aftercare Program (Grades 5-7)

Food Services (Breakfast/Lunch)
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is extending free school meals for all students through the 2022-2023 school year. This means that breakfast and lunch will continue to be served at no cost to ALL students!
While all meals are FREE, FRCS requires families to order lunch in advance via the School Lunch Choice website. We are pleased to announce that we will be using a new food vendor this year! Information about creating a free account and how the process works can be found on the FRCS website. Menus for September are now available on the School Lunch Choice website. Orders for the first week of school are due by 9pm on August 30. Students who would like a free grab-and-go breakfast will not need to order that meal in advance.
Please note that even though meals will be free for all, it is very important that families who may qualify complete the household Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals for the 2022-2023 school year. You can view and complete the application here. We strongly encourage families to submit this form as it allows us to establish eligibility for P-EBT benefits and serve families most effectively. In addition, please consider applying for SNAP, the federal nutrition program that provides eligible residents with monthly financial assistance to purchase groceries. More SNAP information can be found at gettingsnap.org or by calling Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline at 1-800-645-8333.

Afterschool Care (Hockomock Area YMCA)
- The Y’s afterschool care program will operate to support children age 12 and younger.
- The Y offers 2, 3, 4, & 5 day per-week options for FRCS families.
- Massachusetts state vouchers are accepted and the Y has ROFY scholarships available for families who qualify.

Transportation
Currently, Foxborough Regional Charter School’s regional buses are FULL. Families who have not yet applied for transportation may do so, but please keep in mind that seat assignments are made on a first come, first served basis. All bus routes are posted on the FRCS Transportation page on our website.
Bus Passes
Regional Bus Passes
Families who were unable to attend the community bus meetings in Attleboro and Brockton this month may pick-up their child's bus pass during the Meet and Greet on Thursday, September 1st. Look for the "Transportation Information" table set-up outside during the event. Remaining bus passes will be distributed by homeroom teachers on the first day of school.
Foxboro Bus Passes
Bus passes for students who ride Foxboro town buses will also be available at the Transportation Information table during the block party/meet and greet. Remaining bus passes will be distributed by homeroom teachers on the first day of school.
Foxboro Residents: Please notify the Town of Foxboro that your child will be attending FRCS and require transportation services. You can call the Town’s Transportation Department at 508-543-1600.

Dress Code
Students are required to always present in a professional manner and in our school colors. Our goal has been and is to maintain a professional, appropriate, and consistent appearance, free from distractions to better support the learning environment. Please review our dress code here. Back-to-School Meet and Greet and Block Party
The FRCS Back-to-School Meet and Greet and Block Party will be held on Thursday September 1st from 12-3pm outdoors on campus. We invite our students and their families to come meet their teacher, reconnect with friends after summer vacation, and have some fun before the school year starts. Teachers and Information booths will set up outside. Food trucks will also be on campus.

Change of Address
Have you moved? Or maybe you have a new emergency contact for your child. Please don't forget to let Foxborough Regional Charter School know! Fill out the Family Information Update form and return to the FRCS main office with proof of residency (if applicable).
Nursing/Health Services
- Please do not send a sick child to school! If your child is sick, please keep them home. Consult with your school nurse prior to sending your child to school if you have questions.
- If your child is visiting the school nurse's office, they will need to wear a mask inside the office. Please be sure to send your child to school with masks, just in case.
- Physical and immunizations are required for grades K,4,7,10 and grade 11. Please submit the most up to date physical and immunizations including COVID 19 vaccines to your building nurse.

- Emergency forms will be going home the 1st week of school. Please complete and return to your child’s teacher for the most up to date contact information for the nurse to contact you in case of emergency. It is important to have someone available to pick up your child due to illness or injury when the nurse calls.
- Please coordinate with your building nurse for medication needs for you child. All medications need to be dropped off adult to adult and must have physician orders and parental consent signed. Students are not allowed to carry medications on the bus or to school unless there is prior approval from the nurse and MD for emergency medications.
- Over the counter medication can be given during the school day for students grade 5-12. Please complete the parental consent for and submit to you building nurse. All forms can be found on our health services page.
- If your child sustains an injury during the school year and requires an elevator key to access the 2nd floor, Please coordinate with you building nurse. A 10.00 deposit is required and will be returned when the key is returned.
- During the school year, the state mandates several health screenings. Hearing, vision, height, weight, postural, SBIRT, SOS. If you would like to opt out of any of the state mandated screenings, please contact your building nurse.
Technology Information
Fall Athletics
Registration is now open for the Fall season! Use this link to access the registration page on FamilyID. Students will not be eligible to try out if an updated physical is not submitted. Please send a copy to District Nurse, Cathy Alix ASAP. Registration closes on Friday September 2nd.

All Foxborough Regional Charter School student-athletes must agree to and sign the Athletic Handbook. Their parent/guardian must also sign to acknowledge their understanding of the expectations of these student leaders. Athletes represent FRCS and all our values throughout the season whether at home or away.
